How does Sir Roger exercise his authority in the Church? [NU. 2013, 2020]

/What do you know about the authoritative power of Sir Roger?

/"Sir Roger is landlord to the whole congregation." – Discuss.

Sir Roger has authoritative power in the church. He is the landlord to the whole congregation at the church because all of those who constitute the congregation are his tenants. He kept the parishioners in good order in the church. He himself did not sleep in the church and allowed nobody to sleep there. If he saw anybody nodding, whether it was in the middle of the congregation or not, he himself woke that person or sent his servants to wake him up.

Sir Roger called out to John Matthews in the middle of the service because he was disturbing the congregation by knocking his heel on the ground. He reminded John Matthews what he was doing and told him not to disturb the congregation.
